Abstract:	This is an extract from the OpenStreetMap database as at the 13th August 2009 for Wales. OpenStreetMap is user contributed data and there is not consistent coverage over the whole country. It is being continually updated so if you need a more up-to-date version you should download a newer version from OSM. Lineage:	The data was downloaded as Shapefiles from 2 sources. The coastline was downloaded from Cloudmade (http://downloads.cloudmade.com/) and the rest of the data was downloaded from Geofabrik (http://www.geofabrik.de/data/download.html) The data has been converted to British National Grid using ArcMap. All Data from OpenStreetMap is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike License.
