CORONA Satellite Image of Area from East of the River Wye to Droitwich, England

Abstract

This CORONA black and white satellite image covers an area extending from east of the River Wye in Wales to Droitwich, England. The ground resolution is between 2 to 3 metres. The dataset also includes a screenshot showing image footprint, which corresponds to the full extent of the captured images. There are four image segments associated with this footprint (DS1104-1043DF001_1a, DS1104-1043DF001_1b, DS1104-1043DF001_1c and DS1104-1043DF001_1d). The image file ending in '1a' has not been processed as there is 90 percent cloud cover associated with that image. This image (DS1104-1043DF001_1b) has about 10 to 20 percent cloud cover. Please note that the spatial accuracy is not reliable and may need to be geo-referenced again, though this was done to situate the image over the corresponding area.
